Indie Dome did its first appearance by taking to a higher level the dedicated area for video game developers at Lisboa Games Week 2016.
With 50k visitors during the 4 days of 2016’s Lisboa Games Week, Indie Dome had more than 30 games. On the first edition we had the marvelous presence of Square Enix Collective and Wargaming Labs, with their teams showcasing some soon-to-be released games to LGW’s visitors. On their side were also games submitted to us by 505 Games, Kasedo Games and Sometimes You, among many.

We believe that by attending Lisboa Games Week, you will have a great opportunity to exhibit and exchange ideas and knowledge with other agents of the videogames market, in an environment networking-oriented to establish new contacts with potential partners or customers. The contact with the public is a key for understanding the reception of the work you carry out, and it will be a focus point to promote your games, in a joint effort, beyond the expected visitors.
Lisboa Games Week is growing as an international videogames event, and Indie Dome is growing with it. This year the venue will go bigger to best accommodate the increased numbers of expected visitors, and Indie Dome will occupy a much larger area to the 2017’s edition.
Speakers will be invited for lectures, panels or roundtables. There will be some activities in agreement with our partners’ proposals for the events dedicated to the Young Public and Professional attendees.
Absolutely! We accept volunteers for the second edition of the Indie Dome based on position availability.
An online form and information to know what’s expected of Volunteers and what’s in it for you will be available in September.
The mission of Indie Dome is to provide the best in Indie Game Showcase.
We are a non-profit and independent organization, working to promote greater awareness and visibility of the Portuguese and international independent movement. That’s why we invest in the means for a better exposure and promotion of your games, in a growing, special dedicated environment. However, this whole device would not be possible without the exceptional help of our sponsors, partners, volunteers and friends.
Lisboa Games Week Submissions:
We encourage all Developers or Publishers to submit your game to us – be sure that it is comparable to, or even better, above indie market standards to be part of the ‘best of Indie Dome’ selection. Best way to make sure the game is eligible is to look at the games previously showcased in the games section.
All interactive media are welcome. We look forward to seeing your interactive media format – including: role-playing games, tabletop, performative, Sound installation, Interactive installation, Immersive virtual reality, augmented reality, and more.

Should you be selected to showcase at the Indie Dome, you are more than welcome to bring an updated build and provide new materials for media.

Keeping discretion about the submission process and promotional process will allow us to keep a healthy connection and will allow us to be more efficient in the same processes.
We’ll have a dedicated area improved with better screen, sound and lighting for projects that may not be selected and you may be invited to showcase your game or demonstrate some tech after the submissions deadline. Each game will have one or more timeslots (3 hours minimum)* provided by us.
*This only applies to Portuguese and Spanish studios.
The Indie Dome welcomes the Portuguese Dev Community and we provide logistical assistance. Providing assistance with more and better services and benefits in each edition requires great costs, and we try to make the most of these costs. That’s why we call for a joint responsibility to take advantage of and also to extend the opportunities the Indie Dome offers.
This deposit, which is €100 and for selected games only, will be returned after the event, provided you complied with the rules, and delivered all provided hardware and/or accessories in the end of the event.
